Michael Joseph Jackson was Born on August 29, 1958 in Gary Indiana, He was the 7th child in the Jackson Family. He's the son of the working class couple Joseph Walter Jackson and Katherine Esther. He's other siblings are Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy and Janet. Raised as a Jehovah's Witness by his mother, Michael would perform in an R&B band called the Falcons with Luther, one of his brothers.

Musical talent was seen from Michael early in his life, at the age of 5, he performed in front of his classmates and others during a Christmas party. When he was 6 years old, he joined the Jackson brothers as back up musician playing tambourine and congas and at the age of 8, he became the lead vocals as the group's name was changed to the Jackson 5.

The Jackson 5 released several songs such as "Big Boy" under the record label Steeltown in 1967 and they signed with Motown Records in 1968. In 1972, Michael Jackson released four solo albums under Jackson 5's franchise, 2 of them are Got to Be There and Ben.

In 1979, Quincy Jones and Jackson released "Off the wall" . Songwriters included Jackson, Rod Temperton, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney. It's also in 1979 that Jackson broke his nose during a complex dance routine and had his rhinoplasty surgery.

In 1982, Michael Jackson released the Thriller. Over 109 millions copies sold, it became the best-selling album of all time. In 1984, While filming a Pepsi Cola commercial in Los Angeles, Jackson suffered 2nd degree burns to his scalp after pyrotechnics set his hair on fire accidentally. It was also in 1984 that he received an award from U.S. president Ronald Reagan for his support of charities for alcoholic people and drug addicts.

He released the highly anticipated "BAD" in 1987 and started the Bad World Tour in the same year and grossed 125 million dollars. In 1993, he was accused of child sexual abuse by a 13-year-old boy, named Jordan Chandler and father Evan Chandler. By the fall of the same year, he got addicted to drugs and went into drug rehabilitation for several months.

He Married Lisa Marie Presley in 1994 and they divorced in 1996. During the HIStory world tour he married dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe, with whom he had a daughter and a son. They divorced in 1999 but remained friends.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson died of heart attack in Los Angeles ending his long, successful and controversy filled carreer.
